The BB Cream Craze

Photobucket

I’ve been hearing quite a lot recently about BB creams and for the longest time I had absolutely no idea what they were until I decided to do a little digging. I came across this site listing the top BB creams on the market and when I found that Boscia had one I knew I had to try it ( if you don’t already know, I am borderline obsessed with anything Boscia does), I am a big tinted moisturizer fan for many reasons, but was looking for a subtle change. The sales lady at Sephora swiped this on me and then I had to have it, the coverage was light but flawless. The makeup artist warned me though, that it is not ideal to apply this with sponges or hands and for best application she suggested the #45 mineral powder brush so I bought that as well. Today is my first day wearing it, so far so good but in a couple weeks I will let you guys know how I much I love it !

Flat Iron Spray

Finishing off the week with a review from my favorite hair line S factor. I picked up this flat iron spray a couple weeks ago at Ulta. Thermal protectant sprays are so in and every line has there own version. I just recently started using more heat on my hair so I decided to try this out to manage my hair and keep it healthy. So far so good, I spray this into damp hair before I blow dry and my hair comes out soft and shiny with no signs of damage, it has nice fruity smell that I definitely approve of. according to the TIGI website this spray also protects from UV rays and contains vitamins A&E that nourish and protect the hair from environmental damage. I’ve used this a couple of times on dry hair and I have noticed that a little goes a long way, if you spray too much it can make your hair look a little on the greasy side so watch out for that, all in all I’m happy with this so far!

Strawberry Beauty

Lately I’ve been reading up on different foods and their beauty benefits. Strawberries have always been one of my most favorite foods, I seriously eat them like potato chips it’s ridiculous. Whether you like them over creme brulee or brownies && ice cream or on their own, this super fruit has many powers. Strawberries contain high amounts of fiber, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory agents, Vitamin C, and Manganese. In additon to promoting healthy eyes and fighting off the onset of many cancers, I bet you didn’t know that strawberries have many benefits in the beauty department as well. I have scoured the internet to find many DIY beauty recipes including stawberries, so you can feel great while you look great!

For Whiter Teeth-

Crush a few berries and mix with a pinch of baking soda. Apply to your toothbrush and polish those pearly whites for 3 minutes once every 2-3 months.

For youthful skin-

Combine 3-4 berries, 1/4th cup plain yogurt, and a tablespoon of organic honey in blender and mix until smooth.Apply evenly to a clean face and neck, leave on for 15- 20 minutes and wash with warm water.

For a smoother body -

Mix 10 ripe berries, 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp olive oil. Apply the paste to your body while gently scrubbing.

For glossy silky hair -

Mash 8 fresh berries with 1 tbs of mayonnaise. Massage mixture into damp hair then coer with a shower cap and warm towel, let sit for 10 minutes then shampoo as usual.

Now you have no excuse not to add strawberries to your shopping list, your body will thank you!

Ooh La Love

I made a quick stop into Sephora and pick up a product one of my girlfriends has been raving about recommended. The Dior lip maximizer gloss, at first I was really against the thought of  buying a lip plumper because I don’t really need it and I thought I wouldn’t get any use out of it but she told me how amazing the actual lip gloss was and I decided I’d try it out and see since Dior is a brand I trust anyways. I put some on in the car and  I definitely see what the hype is all about. This product makes my lips look and feel amazing and I’m not big on lip glosses because I find them messy and less practical than lipstick but this gloss isn’t sticky or sloppy at all and I’m so obsessed with it that I will be wearing it all week!

My Hair Obsession

I have been absolutely obsessed with this line for a few years now, and around where I live it is incredibly hard to find, so I was beyond excited to find out ULTA carries it. For those of you who don’t know TIGI’s S Factor Line, it’s basically their more high end brand of product. On a superficial note, the packaging for everything I’ve seen is really sleek and modern, which caught my eye from the beginning.  The shampoo and conditioner set I purchased is the Health Factor Daily Dose, sulfate free one. I went for this one because I hear a lot of people raving about sulfate free shampoo and how much better it is so I wanted to try it for myself, in addition to sulfate free it is also paraben free. This product consists of White Ginger, Horsetail and Rosemary and you can definitely tell it has some amazing ingredients present. Whenever I use this the smell reminds me of Gatorade, I don’t know why that is but I’m not complaining I adore it! The shampoo lathers really well and a little goes a long way so don’t use too much! When rinsing the conditioner out, my hair already feels really smoothe which is always a good sign. So far, I am loving this and I would definitely recommend it, and I would really recommend this brand in general, it can be a little bit pricey but they use the best ingredients and you really do get your moneys worth!
